We exist to find one great business and dedicate ourselves to growing it for the long term.

River Cove Capital is not a private equity firm. We are not managing a portfolio of companies with an eye toward deep cost cuts. Our mission is singular: to acquire one exceptional B2B services business and operate it with the same care and conviction its founder built it with.

That means your business gets our full attention — not a place in line alongside twenty others. One operator, one company, one commitment.

We believe the best businesses are built on relationships, trust, and genuine care for customers and employees. Our goal is to honor that foundation and carry it forward.

Why "River Cove"?

A river cove is a place of calm within a current — a natural harbor where things are protected from the rush of the open water. It's a fitting metaphor for what we offer: a safe harbor for your business, your team, and the legacy you've spent years building.

When the time comes to step back, you deserve a buyer who will anchor your business, not flip it. River Cove offers stability, depth, and a genuine commitment to what you've built.

One Business, Full Focus
Unlike private equity firms managing a portfolio, River Cove acquires a single business. Your company is not one of many — it's the only one.
Operator, Hands On
Mike Adams will step in as full-time CEO from day one — hands-on, present, and accountable to your team and customers every day.
No Forced Exit
There is no fund timeline, no LP pressure, and no obligation to sell in 5–7 years. River Cove is built for the long term.

You've built something remarkable.
What comes next?

Every owner arrives at this moment differently. Whatever brought you here, you deserve a path forward that protects what matters most — your people, your customers, and your legacy.

Retirement & the Next Chapter
You've given this business decades of your life. It's time to step back and enjoy what you've earned — knowing your business is in the hands of someone who will treat it with the same dedication you did.
Legacy & Team Protection
Your employees have been with you for years. They count on you. River Cove's model prioritizes keeping your team intact and your culture alive — not replacing it with outside management.
Burnout & Renewed Energy
Running a business is demanding. If the passion that got you here has faded, that's not failure — it's a signal. Passing the torch to someone energized to take it further may be the best thing for the business.
Transition on Your Terms
Whether you want to stay involved for a year, transition quickly, or something in between — we work around your goals and timeline, not ours. You set the pace.

"You don't have to have all the answers yet. A conversation costs nothing — and it might be the most important one you have this year."

Let's Talk

Meet Mike Adams

I founded River Cove Capital with a single mission: to find one exceptional B2B services business and dedicate my career to growing it with the same care and conviction its founder built it with.

Previously, I was a founder and operator at Avila Energy Partners, a brokerage focused on royalty assets. I worked directly with many retirees evaluating options for their largest assets — an experience that gave me a deep understanding of what matters most to owners during a sale.

I gained operating and investing experience at Focus Financial Partners, where I worked with a variety of small business owners considering a sale. I also served as an operating lead for two small businesses in the Northeast.

While working as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, I advised clients across energy, construction, and other industries — developing the strategic and operational instincts that have defined my career.

My introduction to investing came at Noble Royalties, the largest oil and gas royalty buyer, where we worked with many sellers who were retired or contemplating retirement, structuring deals to help them achieve their goals.

River Cove Capital represents the culmination of my experience as an operator, investor, and advisor. My goal is to partner with a founder to build on what they've created — driving sustainable growth while preserving the foundation that made the business successful.

What owners say matters most

Business owners who have been through a sale consistently say the same thing: the buyer's character matters as much as the price.

Mike's background in consulting, investing, and business development means he has the operational and financial skills to respect your legacy.

What We're Looking For

River Cove Capital seeks to acquire one outstanding B2B services business where Mike can step in as a dedicated, full-time operator. If your business feels like a fit — or close to one — we'd love to talk.

$1M–$5M+ EBITDA · 3+ years of profitability

Majority or full acquisition · Flexible on seller's role
04
Team & Culture
A strong team that wants to stay and grow. A culture built on trust, accountability, and genuine care for customers and employees.
Key staff retained · Values-aligned culture
